Eno E. Ituen, an Associate Professor of Theoretical/Computational Physics, the FIRST-EVER and only female Physicist at Professorial level in University of Uyo, a former Head of Department of Physics, and a former Departmental Post Graduate Coordinator, Department of Physics at the University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria, is currently the Director of International Programmes of this same University. She is also a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Pure and Applied Physics of Veritas University of Nigeria, Abuja, VUNA. She holds B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD degrees all in Physics from the same University, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, formerly University College, of the University of London, UK in 1980, 1990 and 1997 respectively.
As a Pure Physicist, she has over 20 years of teaching and research experience in Physics. She teaches Quantum Mechanics, Classical Mechanics, Statistical Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Mathematical Methods in Physics, Electromagnetism and the related courses at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. As a former HOD of Physics, she fronted the establishment of Theoretical Physics group in the Department of Physics in 2008 and also obtained the first-ever full accreditation for the Department same year. Recently, as the pioneer Visiting HOD of Physics in VUNA up till March, 2012, she obtained the first-ever full accreditation for the Department this year 2012.
Since 2010 till date, she has been the National President of Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World, OWSD, the female wing of The World Academy of Science, TWAS. She was an Affiliate member of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, (ICTP) Trieste, Italy, where she conducted research with resident scientists of the Centre for some months as part of her PhD work in University of Ibadan, Nigeria. A member of National Association of Mathematical Physics (NAMP), Women In Physics (WIP) and African School of Physics (ASP2010), Physics Writers Series (PWS); participating, presenting and serving as University of Uyo delegate in more fifteen conferences internationally and nationally.
Her major research interest is in various formulations Quantum Mechanics like Feynman Path Integral and Schroedinger Quantum Mechanics on different kinds of potentials, in particular:
(i) Time – dependent oscillator in an external field
(ii) Anharmonic oscillator
(iii) Anharmonic potential with Ansatz Method,
(iv) Caldirola-Kanai oscillators
(v) Eckart potential
(vi) Hulthen potential
She has her minor interest is in Environmental Physics to include physical analysis of biogas production from wastes, physical analysis of soil samples and borehole water quality analysis.

Tetfund award to represent University of Uyo as Director of International Programs in the at the 14th General Conference of the International Association of Universities, IAU, held in Inter American University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico, United States of America from November 27 to 30, 2012.
Recipient Travel Grant from ASP10 as University of Uyo Delegate to attend the the First Biennial African School on Fundamental Physics and its Applications; ASP2010 Workshop from 1st to 21st August 2010 hosted by the National Institute of Theoretical Physics, NiTheP, at Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa.
